Times photo blog

The Bay City Times launched a photo blog. (http://blog.mlive.com/bctimes_photos/)

It has been a long time coming and it has yet to be linked to the main site. I will keep posting there, since in time Mlive will come around and support it.

Please, feel free to comment on the blog so they know that there is a photo-literate audience hungry for fresh material. Kevin did.

From a Cessna

I spent eight hours on Tuesday getting bounced around northern Michigan in a small plane. I only hit the ceiling once and did not lose my lunch despite asking for a bag. These are some of my favorites from the two dozen places I was supposed to photograph. It's also my first time to play with RAW. Yes, I am late to the revolution.

Kevin realizes his light levels have changed

Brett is ecstatic for another season of autograph seekers.

I wanted to sleep in my new bed, but work got in the way

Wednesday held further evidence that news photographers should not wear ties. The reporters can talk about beach muck, but they don't have to walk through sewage and dense e coli colonies to get the shots of beach muck. I took a scrubbing shower afterwards.

Then, after bowling and hitting some bars I got an early morning call about an apartment fire.

By the next afternoon, the building was levelled.

no more futon

Since Tamika asked to see...

It feels like my first adult purchase. A new mattress to get my back and neck straightened out (I hope). My lamp does tilt some, but not that much.
