I got a little point and shoot camera this weekend. It is not perfect, takes some getting used to, fits in my pocket. Much better than skiing with a D2H. It's embarrassing when you have to scrape snow out of the lens. Cannon cliff is starting to ice up. Big ice there in about a month, maybe enough reason to get out of the moving car for a better shot.

Next time you're through the notch, stop at the basin. It's about half-a-mile from where this photo was taken going southbound. It is badass. Some nice hiking to a rocky-smooth section of waterfalls and pools, after the main basin area.
I refuse to summit Cannon until I climb up the climb, be that by rock or the Black Dike/Moby Grape ice climbs.
Scampering at the bottom sounds fun, though.
Is the ice in now? Ours faded, sadly.
Are you kidding? We have too much ice. see above posts
